Bradford & District 8-15 Golf Association Champion

Member, Graham Russell, who plays off a handicap of 8.6 was successful in the Bradford & District 8-15 Golf Association President’s Matchplay Competition.

The competition features players from all 26 clubs affiliated to the Association. It is a matchplay event where shots are determined by the full difference in playing handicap at the course where each round is played.

After playing 4 rounds of golf, the final was arranged at Woodhall Hills, his opponent being Curtis Walsh of the Manor G.C.

The game was highly competitive with neither player gaining an advantage of more than one hole. At the 16th, Graham was 1 up, then Curtis won the 18th resulting in a sudden death finish with Graham achieving victory on the 19th hole.
