Chippendale Runners-up

The Bradford Rabbits Golf Association run the Chippendale Trophy competition, which is played as a foursome over four knockout rounds followed by semi-finals and then the final. The competition has been running since 1949 and a team from Ben Rhydding has never won the trophy although this year we came close.

Our magnificent duo, Daz Beard and Dan Smith met a team from The Manor in the final which was played over 36 holes on Sunday, 21 September at Skipton GC. Our guys played well but sadly, lost out on the day.

At the Association’s Presentation Night on 29 September at Woodhall Hills GC, Dan & Daz received their Runners-Up awards from the President, Malcolm Elliott. The picture shows our smiling champions (in our eyes anyway) after receiving their trophy and commemorative golf towels.
